The Acarnanian Den

[Night]

First topic message reminder :

The Acarnanian Den is found in the heart of our territory. Beauty is this areas middle name. Not only is their plenty of caribou and hares, a large body of water lies close by. It is a wonderful area to hide away and enjoy nature and its lush green woods.

[Kiba]

Kiba woke up, with a jump. "Rye!" He barked and dashed off following the howl. The white wolf was growing tired again when he saw Rye with the She-wolf and some other strangers. "What is going on?" He asked Rye, confused.

[Night]

Night's eyes filled with worry as the distant howl reached her listening ears. She raised her muzzle towards the sky and replied in response to Rye, ensuring that he knew the pack was safe. "Those who wish to come, I am moving on. " Night barked. "If some need rest, please do. But stay safe."
Night nodded and shook her black pelt. "I will return before morning."

[Democritus]

As he heard the bark emit from Night, he stood up, stretching his muscles his body formed a arch shape. "Ready when you are Night." He said, his eyes focused on Night.

[Talon]

Talon smiled rougishly whilst facing the direction the howl had come from 'im ready when you are' he said waiting for Night to set off

[Emerald]

Emerald nodded to Night. "Ready to help you" And looked around, more exactly for Nigh'ts bark direction.

[Rye]

Rye saw a wolf running across the valley, it looked like Kiba, but he wasn't sure. His worries were gone now -- Night had howled back, and told him the pack was still safe. As he continued climbing down the rocks he got a good look of the wolf, it was him! He sped down another slope, relieved that he was safe. "Uh", he stuttered. "Nothing is going on? Well, actually, that's a lie. I found that females pack in a cave, they do have an injured wolf with them", he frowned to himself.

(They haven't seen him yet...Kiba >.<)

[Kiba]

Kiba nodded at his answer. "Well, I think Night and the pack are coming this way," He said and looked at the ground. The white wolf sighed to him self and quickly thought about what Rye had said. 'So what the fae said wasn't a lie... but there could be more behind that smile," Kiba's gaze set back on Rye.

(Oh... ok then)

[Rye]

The canid stared. "I guessed that the pack was coming". He sighed, but quickly his mind began to ponder upon the question of what that female with an injured packmate had indeed wanted. "Perhaps their is, Kiba. Perhaps their is", Rye repeated, as he began to trudge up the slope. "Follow me, I have found somewhere to watch them from", the brute gave him a small grin, proud of his finding. Before following his tracks up the rocks, he paused for a moment and looked over his shoulder, "I'm glad you found me, I really am".

[Fear]

(jumping in)
Fear walked up the slope slowly. She wasn't sure what had happened in her absence but she was sure it was nothing good. The canid looked around and waited for one of her pack-mates to fill her in.

[Night]

Smiling, Night was thrilled so many from the pack were eager to go along with her. Spotting fear, she motioned with her muzzle to join the others. "There is another pack on our borders. You can either stay here until we return it come along with us." Nights eyes met fear, trusting she would make the right choice.

[Fear]

Fear gave it some thought then shook her head, "I don't see any reason I should come along." She paused thinking again then once again spoke, "I am an Epsilon I am to stay near the pack. Not go off on adventures. If a wolf is hurt then I will be there to help, but for now I will stay where I'm at."

[Night]

The black wolf nodded in a approval and smiled. Night then looked to those who had announced they were coming and barked for them to follow. "Lets go." The canid barked. She faced the woods with the pack at her flanks and set off at a quick run.

[Kiba]

Kiba nodded and followed the other male. He smiled as Rye turned over his shoulder and said to him one of the kindest things he had heard. "No worries," Kiba said and walked a bit faster.

[Emerald]

Emerald nodded to the Epsilon. She followed Night and the other wolves everywhere they wantned to go, ready to help.

[Democritus]

As everyone else had took off, he followed, soon catching up to them both he continued at a steady pace, trying to save his energy if need be.

[Fear]

Fear watched as the pack trekked off, the wind rushed through her greyish white fur and at last she turned away. In the extra time she figured she would restock on herbs, she was low on Chervil and Golden rod, which could both be useful if her pack-mates came back injured.

[Rye]

The male led Kiba to the hole he had found earlier. "See?", he whispered as he lay down next to it. "They can't hear us or see us". He added. Rye placed his head in his paws and listened to his surroundings carefully.

(So lame, I can't think)

[Emerald]

"Are you okay?" Emerald asked to the other wolevs following Night.

[Talon]

Talon glanced at Emerald 'why would we be?' Talon asked puzzled at Emeralds question towards the wolves following Night

[Night]

Night sighed quietly at the quietness of the pack members around her. Her ears flicked and her eyes pierced the trees around them. The silence was almost too much. She stopped for a moment and realized the birds weren't singing their normal happy song. The Egetes's fur stood on end and her heart began to thrum against her chest. The females eyes darts ahead where just over the trees she could see a great mountain icy against the blue sky. And up there she could just make out a cloud if white tumbling down the mountain towards them. Night's eyes filled with fear and terror. Her mouth was unable to make out words. One thought raced through her confused mind. Avalanche..

[Kiba]

Kiba lay next to Rye and looked down on the strangers. His ears flickered as he heard faint screams and shouts and he stood up alert.

[Democritus]

As he saw Night stop and stare at the falling avalanche, his pupil's slightly widened, he trotted rather quickly over to her and nudged her shoulder, "We need to move Night, and quickly."

[Night]

Night growled quietly and locked eyes with Demo. With the ringing inside her head, she nodded and swallowed. Taking a quick glance at the quickly falling cloud of snow, she darted the other direction, letting up a howl full of warning, demand, and a small tone of fear. As she ran, she felt as though her paws were hitting a drum, the ground rumbling low beneath her.

[Democritus]

After the moment, of the eye contact, Democritus focused on the falling avalanche, then soon followed Night's movements. He snapped his head around and shouted back to Emerald, "Come on!"

[Emerald]

Emerald barked, warning any other alive things about it. She was sure everybody'd follow Night, so she ran next to her. As she ran, Emerald felt her paws almost not touching the ground. The air around her was shaking an waving.SHe felt the cold of the snow falling - Almost on them.

[Fear]

Fear felt the small vibrations in the ground and heard barking in the distance. Something had happened, eyes wide she grabbed the rest of the herbs and ran as fast as she could. The wind whistled through her ears as the tall tree branches slapped her face and brambles got caught in her white pelt.

[Night]

Night could feel it now. The cool wind closing in and against them. Her chest was heaving and her legs wouldn't carry her any faster. She couldn't gather the courage to look back but from the corner if her eye she saw white. Her ears were ringing so loud that the rumbling had been over-taken. Then she felt the cold pain as the ice and snow hit her hind legs. With a yelp, she tumbled as the snow swallowed her up from behind.

[Talon]

Talon was torn between finding Kiba and Rye and following Night, but he decided to follow Night. Talon's ears rung as the avalanche echoed around him he pushed himself forward knowing if he stopped hw would be as good as dead

[Rye]

The male perked his tri-coloured ears. At the same moment he heard Night's howl, his nose twitched as he stood onto his four paws by instinct. Far off in the distance, he could see what seemed like the beginning of an avalanche. Avalanche!? Rye's breathing increased it's speed, his heart pounding in his furry chest. He knew Kiba would have seen it by now, which gave him a bit of time to think of what to do next. As he observed the snow rolling down the mountain far off, he thought of the pack and the howl which Night had given. But wait a minute - the howl and come from that direction! The male yelped as he ran down the ridge, not sure of where exactly the safest place was. Before he knew what he was doing, Rye's paws began to take him into a sprint like he had done never before. "Kiba!", he yelled over his shoulder. "Follow me!".

[Democritus]

As he saw Night be swallowed by the snow, he quickly ran back to her, he dug his way where she was. He latched his teeth around her scruff, yanking her out from under the snow. His breathing picked up, hearing the snow tumbling just behind him. He slightly pulled Night along with him as he was running before she could find her feet.

[Night]

In a scrambled mess, Night got her feet beneath her and was able to run once more. But her breathing was getting heavy. Her heart screamed at her to stop and rest but her mind fought to keep going. Night had the urge to dodge to the sides but she knew the avalanche was much to wide to make it in time. Her racing thoughts froze as her eyes locked ahead. There was a cliff, and she knew it fell into a deep cavern. With the snow forcing the wolves on, Nights whimper hung in her throat.

[Talon]

Talon swallowed as he saw the cliff, he spoke to Night but it was barely more than a whisper 'we can either jump, or we can grabb hold of something and make our way as high up as we can'

[Fear]

Fear watched in total horror as the fluffy looking clouded snow chased her pack-mates nearly engulfing them as the looks of fear in their eyes. The female could do nothing but watch as the snow terrorized her pack-mates, following Night's gaze she spotted what had drawn the female's attention, maybe with a lot of luck, they could make it.

[Night]

we don't know what's down there. Nights thoughts screamed. Her instincts were going wild. And she knew the decision was on her. They would follow what she did. She tried to focus her breathing. The rumbling of the snow was drowned out for a moment as she focused her senses on her options. She could feel vibrations in her paws. But it was a soothing vibration, perhaps a river or waterfall.. everything slowed down and blurred as she smelled the air, there was salmon.. swallowing the whimper in her throat she snarled to her pack mates as the cliff neared. "Do you trust me! ?" She howled. There wasn't time for a response, she flung her feet from the ground and felt air replace the world around her. Falling lower and lower. the cloud of snow tumbling behind.

[Talon]

Talon jumped laughing 'do you really want me to awnssssssseeeerrr' he fell down barely able to make out the dark shape of Night against the dakness surounding them. Talon liked the feeling of wind through his pelt, but this was too much
