The Acarnanian Den

[Night]

The Acarnanian Den is found in the heart of our territory. Beauty is this areas middle name. Not only is their plenty of caribou and hares, a large body of water lies close by. It is a wonderful area to hide away and enjoy nature and its lush green woods.

[Kiba]

"I will be fine." He said now recovered. Kiba looked around at the others and smiled before starting to walk on, his fur blowing in the cool breeze. The wolf stoped and waited for them, now some way infront.

[Talon]

Talon rolled about on the ground to desguise his scent and looked to where Night had pointed, he stretched and padded after Kiba. He smiled slightly to see that the breeze was blowing against him and not away from him 'this hunt should be successful' he thought hopefully

[Democritus]

He shook his pelt before looking over to Kiba "Alright." He then turned his gaze to Night, "So what's the plan?" He said, he stood up and stretched his fores, preparing his muscles for the hunt. He carefully examined the elk herd, looking for injured or older elk.

[Night]

"Glad to see you are joining us." Night says as Fear joins them. The Egetes looks at the herd and then examines the wolves who have come along. "Lets start by splitting up the herd and separating the weakest one. Then Talon and Kiba will take up the sides, I will circle around in front, and Demo and Fear take the rear." Night explains. She pauses to ensure everyone is listening. "Once we have the target on place, we close in. I take the neck." The black canid shakes her pelt, her eyes becoming fierce and predator like.

[Talon]

Talon nodded "ok so which one do we go for?" he backed off so the elk couldnt see him then he got ready to find his position

[Night]

Nights eyes glimmered at Talons question. Hoping everyone understood the plan, she leapt towards the herd, "let's find out!" She snarled. Just as planned, the herd scattered with wild fear in their eyes. It wasn't hard to pick out the old cow that was falling behind, "that one!" Night cried, pointing with her muzzle. Like she explained, she circled wide around the deer so that she could soon leap in front if it and scare it towards the others. She slowed so the others could gather themselves.

[Zodiak]

Zodiak perched herself upon some rocks and amused herself by watching a pack hunt. She had her eye on this pack for quite some time, only now building up the courage to confront them. She watched closely, learning their way of hunting and planning.

[Democritus]

He followed Night, seeing she had picked a target. He positioned himself at the hind of it, preparing to leap. He kept as quiet as he could, not wanting to make the elk run.

[Talon]

Talon raced forwad he nipped at the heels and shouldered it towards Demo. The male followed close behind snarling

[Zodiak]

Zodiak watched closely, seeing a brown wolf dart right at it. She shook her head at the improper antics and laughed to herself. Her eyes drifted over to the large black wolf. Her eyebrows raised at the skill and effort put into this hunt.

[Fear]

Fear nodded and made her way to the rear of the wolf. She lurched forward every now and then biting into the weak elk's tough skin then retreated to her first position before the elk could kick out and cause serious pain to the tall white furred canid.

[Democritus]

He sunk his canines into the Elk's rear, digging his claws into it's hind legs. He hung on to it, weakening it slightly. He dropped of it, allowing it to run for a little bit before latching his teeth onto it again.

[Fear]

Striding forward again Fear sunk her yellowed fangs into the fleeing preys rear, again she retreated and watched as Democritus leaped forward, attacking the elk. Fear shook her head trying to get the bitter taste of blood from her mouth before she attacked with viciously tearing into the elk.

[Honeyleaf]

Honeyleaf got up and decided to go for a walk, she found the territory's beauty breathtaking. She saw the wolves hunting the elk, she watched, wishing she had the strength to help them and join in. Honeyleaf couldn't help but watch the wolves carry out their duties in awe.

[Night]

As the plan went ahead, Night smiled slightly, thinking of the warmth of red blooded meat sliding down her dry throat. For a moment she was caught in the day-dream and shook her head wildly as the deer galloped forwards. This was her part. She needed to move. The black wolf blinked several times, gathering herself back to reality. With a wild growl she leapt towards the deers neck. As she latched on, her amber eyes locked with the black eyes of the deer; fading, painful, and terrified.
Night was held in the doe's gaze for a moment before snarling through clenched teeth at the others "grab her! Now is the time!"

[Talon]

Talon launched himself foward grabbing the Deer's side he hung on waiing for night to finish the deer 'nice set up' he thought happily to himself

[Kiba]

He jumped onto the fallen creature and sank his large pearl teeth into one of its legs. Kiba waited for some one to make the kill still locked onto its leg. The male growled, as he waited.

[Democritus]

As he heard Night shout to grab the elk he latched his teeth around it's leg, making it stumble a few times. He bit down harder, eventually making the elk fall onto it's side.

[Zodiak]

Zodiak laughed and strided down a series of rock formations before reaching their ground level. She chuckled at the struggling wolf pack. "Just grab it's neck and hold." she suggested, making herself known.

[Honeyleaf]

Honeyleaf watched the elk try to break loose from the wolves, she felt sorry for it. Honeyleaf simply shrugged and decided to move on and explore the territory a bit more. She padded through the trees, stopping at a small stream to lap up some water before heading off again, she looked to the sky to see how high, or low, the sun is, she couldn't see it due to the trees, she gave up on looking for it and went on.

[Talon]

Talon let got to reply to Zodiak 'i can see your all talk no action' he challenged the female glaring at her 'and if you had more experience you would know Night normally finishes the kill; so next time make sure your advice is helpful' he turned away from Zodiak smiling to himself

[Democritus]

He slightly laughed as Talon's reply. He held onto the elk's leg, trying keep it from moving.

[Fear]

Fear didn't see any reason to hold it down, she figured the others had got it so she trotted off curiously following the fresh scent of a wolf. The white and red female stopped when she came to a small stream, she growled in annoyance, the large canid hated water, even if it was a small stream she would give up her search now.

[Zodiak]

"I see your more challenge than caution. You should know better than to challenge a loner." Zodiak snapped back. Her eyes burned in fury.

[Night]

Night sunk her teeth deep into the elks neck, tired of the uneeded chatter. "But you aren't a loner anymore Zodi " Night said sternly. "Just because you are still new doesn't mean you can refer yourself to a loner." The black Egetes's eyes held her gaze. Without further discussion, Night tore into the elks neck.

[Talon]

Talon kept quite not wanting to cause trouble for Night, he bent his head down and sniffed the elk 'it will make a nice meal' the mal mused to himself

[Zodiak]

[Night]

(No worries Zodi " ^^ we do it differently sometimes lol)

Night glanced at Talon, then back to the elk. She snatched a large chunk off its neck and padded a little ways away, eating away from the others. If anyone glanced at the black female, she would bare her teeth and continue eating.

[Democritus]

He sank his teeth into the elks stomach, tearing a part of meat off. He padded off and lay down away from the others. He happily chewed on his piece of the kill.

[Honeyleaf]

Honeyleaf returned from her exploration, she crossed the small stream once again, but then she picked up Fear's scent, 'She must have been following me...Or came to get a drink.' Honeyleaf shook her head and followed Fear's scent, not sure where the she-wolf was heading.

[Kiba]

He watched the others grab their share before taking his own and trotting off to eat it in peace. Kiba found a nice place away from the others and started to take off small chunks with his teeth. He was soon done with his small meal and thought it was time for a short nap, but he looking around for any nice place in the sun shine. The white wolf saw a nice sunny area and walked over, he lay down and yawned before closing his eyes and falling asleep.

[Fear]

Fear heard soft paws meeting with the ground. She quickly leaped around and atop the stranger intruding on her silence only to find herself face to face with Honeyleaf. Stepping off the female she sat down and muttered something that could have been a thank you if you could hear the low ground that escaped the canid's mouth.

[Honeyleaf]

Honeyleaf flinched, she shook it off and thought she heard a "Thank you." Honeyleaf decided to nod and walk off back to the spot where she was sleeping, hoping to get another nap, she enjoyed being lazy.

[Rye]

The male padded through the forest at a brisk trot. He'd been gone from the pack for most of the day, busy patrolling the area. He smelt a fresh kill in the meadow not far off, but he had eaten a hare not long ago so that should keep him full until tomorrow. Besides, it would be rude to eat a kill which he had not participated in.

Rye entered the area which was supposedly the hunting grounds, as elk was never far off from the meadow. He spotted the pack feasting on the carcass, but he did his best to ignore the temptation. The canid greeted the wolves with a brief nod of his head, although he did notice that not all were here. Ah, yes, someone had to look after the pup. The male slowed to a walk until he stood in front of Night: he gave her a greeting by sniffing her muzzle before reporting what he had seen for the day. "Night, there is a pack of wolves at least half a day walk to the west from here". He paused, before continuing. "They did not seem to be entering the territory or such, but if you wish, tomorrow I can keep watch on them again, they sure seemed to be plotting something". The male gave her a look which was unreadable.

[Kiba]

The male awoke hearing voices. Kiba muttered to him self to before climbing onto all fours and slinking over to the wolves a frown on his face, he didn't like being woken. "Whats all the fuss?" He asked, the frown still on face. 'Why can't they let me sleep in peace?' He thought.
